KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, EDG Data Governance to join our Data Strategy & Operations organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Data Governance Director to develop and deploy data governance services to the firm  
  • Act as a subject matter expert in data governance methodologies and best practices
  • Establish and manage process, standards, and guidelines, including data governance guidelines, data classification standards, data governance life cycle management, and more, in alignment to legal, policy and standard obligations to operationalize data governance activities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Data Governance workstreams, in support of the Chief Data Officer’s strategic data objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as legal, risk, regulatory, business functions and internal operations to identify and implement data governance standards into new operational solutions and existing business processes
  • Support the development of the data governance team members; provide people management support for designated reports

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent experience managing and working in data governance initiatives and operational processes; ability to serve as a subject matter expert leading others in data governance
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Capacity to work with a variety of stakeholders at all levels and effectively interact with cross-functional departments and individuals to promote governance initiatives; self-disciplined with a high degree of integrity; strong experience in leading development of training and guidance on governance topics
  • Proven ability to lead teams in documented processes; strong desire to support and grow team members in a collaborative and demanding environment; highly motivated and adaptable to a new company’s culture
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook
  • US Citizenship is required
