KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Environmental, Social and Governance practice

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee business and market development efforts including identifying opportunities, developing relationships, scoping prospective engagements, and developing proposals
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery to and approach of client teams, KPMG's engagement teams, and cross functional (advisory and assurance) implementation throughout the ESG client journey
  • Analyze target company data to identify ESG performance, potential liabilities, risks, and opportunities which have potential impact on company value and tax implications, both domestic and cross-border
  • Create and design tailored case studies and collateral for key ESG tax issues (such as credits, incentives, supply chain, grants, IPO readiness, duties & customs, indirect taxes, etc.) and coordinate the integration of tax ESG services with advisory and assurance services by working with Tax ESG subject matter specialists to develop methodologies and collateral
  • Develop market intelligence and sector knowledge with specific focus on Impact and ESG elements and develop and participate in knowledge management of Tax ESG tools and collateral

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent experience with a combination of tax, accounting, advisory and/or ESG consulting experience from a Top Ten public accounting, management or ESG consultancy firm focusing on tax ESG risks and opportunities and the related impact on reporting, tax transparency, benchmarking, ESG ratings agencies and standard setters
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Accounting Sustainability, Business, or related field; Master's Degree in a related field (preferred, but not required)
  • Extensive experience in project management including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing staff, clients, and/or partners towards the successful completion of a project with strong current knowledge in one or more of the following tax areas preferred: income, indirect (sales & use, VAT/GST), credits and incentives, grants, subsidies, rate relief, economic modeling, transfer pricing, M&A, Employment, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders including internal, clients, targets, and third-party affiliates and delivery partners
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future; willingness and ability to travel
