KPMG is currently seeking a Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.


  • Research, interpret, and review the impact of Federal standards, policies, and regulations on financial operations
  • Organize and review financial requests, prepare responses / documentation, support walkthroughs
  • Work directly working with clients to draft inter-agency support agreements for intra-governmental buy / sell activity
  • Track and facilitate inter-agency agreements through the coordination process with key stakeholders
  • Support walkthroughs, documenting current and future state of financial management functions, executing change management efforts related to finance transformation, supporting development of financial strategies, and creating training materials
  • Develop tools and outputs for process mapping, visualization, and data analysis activities


  • A minimum of one year of federal financial managment experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university; CPA / CGFM / CDFM certifications preferred
  • Experience in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements for U.S. Federal government entities; working knowledge of the USSGL preferred
  • Experience analyzing financial and systems processes and controls
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
  • U.S. citizenship required and the ability to obtain a U.S. Federal government security clearance within a reasonable period of time
