KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Contract Negotiations Strategy to join our Digital Nexus technology organization.


  • Design and execute strategy for technology focused contract negotiations including, but not limited to acquisitions, maintenance renewals, strategic cost optimization and terms/conditions improvements/standardizations
  • Utilize advanced supply market and industry knowledge to implement effective negotiation strategies; direct and coordinate everyday execution of contract negotiation strategies, while counseling and supporting firm leaders
  • Create Global/regional thought leadership that influences superior business behavior through cutting edge insights and proven approaches; influence strategic direction of how the firm uses technology service providers
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term strategic initiatives as well as immediate growth priorities and meeting annual cost reduction targets
  • Review major contracts and act as an experienced resource for planning and leading detailed negotiations
  • Liaise with finance and strategic sourcing to ensure all contract activities align with standard controls and ensure ongoing engagement throughout a program’s lifecycle for appropriate levels of contract and budgetary oversight


  • Minimum ten years of recent experience with IT vendor/supplier relationship management, technology hardware and software asset procurement, opportunity assessment and negotiations
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Master's degree from an accredited college/university is preferred
  • Comprehensive command of business-based strategic negotiation methodology and pricing models
  • Experience developing and implementing large-scale, complex vendor/supplier management initiatives with technology hardware and software asset implications
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication, collaboration, presentation and negotiation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and team work; ability to foster the development of high performance teams; capable of building strong professional relationships with ability to influence all levels across the organization
  • Must be able to set and execute strategic initiatives for team; creative thinker with ability to identify innovative business solutions; ability to develop strategic organization and global/regional resource plans, defining next generation business and leadership needs
