KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Solutions Architect to join our Digital Nexus technology organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business relationship managers to develop an architecture strategy which directly ties to the business objectives of the firm’s functional areas and will also define strategies, solutions and processes for managing enterprise-wide data throughout the data lifecycle (capture, processing and consumption)
  • Oversee collaboration reviews of strategy with business to ensure alignment and feedback to gain concurrence on direction; develop and maintain functional area roadmaps; lead architectural review forums and governance initiatives; facilitate organizational change by defining strategies for the Firm with respect to technology standards and design goals
  • Manage teams of architects who provide technical design and architectural leadership to multiple teams, and projects to help ensure applications are integrated and adhere to stated architectural and design principles and standards
  • Partner and collaborate with other technology groups, acting as a thought leader and strategist representing the interest of the business for new technology, technology roadmaps, and next generation technology direction
  • Drive the selection of services, technologies, development of standards, and reference architectures; focus on solutions that reduce costs, increase efficiencies, provide more value and capabilities, reduce risks, and increase security; demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad firm objectives by integrating and developing processes that meet business needs across the entire firm
  • Set technical direction for the overall Master Data Management, Metadata, Data Quality solution architecture, define component architecture, review detailed designs for accuracy and overall compliance to defined architecture across the complete data lifecycle; maintain knowledge of latest data trends, concepts and other technologies (i.e. data protection, governance, data science, blockchain) in the market

Qualifications:

  • Minimum eight years of recent technology experience which includes managing and supporting projects
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to understand the long-term and short-term perspectives of situations; as well as the capability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements and to estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives
  • Experience working with Informatica products like MDM, metadata, Data quality; TOGAF certification, Azure/Amazon cloud certification is a plus
  • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and team work; able to set goals and participate in strategic initiatives for a team and foster the development of high performance teams and interface with all levels of the organization
