KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Data Management Operations Support to join our Digital Nexus organization. This role is a remote work opportunity.


  • Focus is blended between execution and tactical planning and participation in strategic planning; contribute to tactical plans and monitor progress
  • Responsible for championing alignment to the applicable strategies and adherence to them, related commitments, budget and management of the risk
  • Use advanced technical expertise to execute work product, tactical and strategic planning
  • Interact regularly with management within the department and staff across BPG/functional process; influence client expectations and provide appropriate alternatives, suggestions and recommendations for improvements; ensuring goals and objectives are met
  • In charge of global resource center partnership (i.e., outsource/captive providers) and to achieve project or service success metrics; including all vendor contractual obligations, i.e. SLA management, work product and review/revisions and acceptance/sign-off, phase gate approvals, payment and penalty approvals
  • Responsible for helping drive technical outcomes and managing a team of junior and intermediate employees that perform within set technical guidelines and standard operating procedures


  • Minimum eight years of recent progressive experience in enterprise Data management, integration and analytics technology is mandatory, including five years of managing data operations for large scale data warehouses, Big data environments, three years of experience support end to end data & analytics on-prem and Cloud environments
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in business or a related field is preferred
  • Experience with leading teams driving and supporting all aspects of Digital Nexus’s Data engineering & Data run operations, with focus on Data Run Opex: ITSM, Problem & Incident mgmt., Continuous Improvements, Keep the lights On, Stability and Data Engineering projects support
  • Skills managing and maintaining data engineering solutions (including ETLs, jobs, pipelines, Data as a service, Informatica etc.);  experience ensuring key  Data and analytic systems on prem and in the cloud are stable per KPIs and SLAs;  ensuring Data Run teams produce quality artifacts pertinent to Runbooks and Playbooks in support of Data Assets;  experience delivering pragmatic data engineering solutions that meet & exceed business needs while providing tangible value
  • Experience in enterprise data platform strategy, establishing an end to end data management technical architecture and providing corresponding roadmaps; experience in executing data strategy from an engineering and support viewpoint (hands-on) to support how can current on premise systems be optimized – continuous improvement and how current on-premise data supply chains can be prioritized and ported over to the Azure cloud ecosystem
  • This role is a remote work opportunity;  Candidates must be able to perform work during the Eastern or Central time zones regular business hours
