KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Cloud Operations to join our Digital Nexus technology organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers; performance management responsibility for direct reports including developing/mentoring employees to build high performing teams
  • Function as a primary client contact responsible for fulfilling project requirements and coordinate activities with IT management
  • Accountable for project planning, scheduling, status reporting and project budgets; establish and analyze staffing requirements within guidelines and responsible for implementing projects consistent with long-range IT plans and installation standards
  • Act as the primary contact for Cloud Development team within the Cloud Delivery organization
  • Drive solution discovery and construction of application deployments into public and private clouds and estimate scope and timelines, partners with other teams to drive solutions over the line; proactively work with the team to identify technical problems, perform root-cause analysis, formulate solutions and execute on the plan
  • Create templates and code to automate solution delivery and deployment into public and private clouds for a wide range of technologies across Windows and Linux platforms while managing competing priorities in a fast moving enterprise and thrive in a complex environment, able to adapt to constant changing environment and maintain deep technical and business knowledge of industry directions and trends in the area of agile system development

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of eight years of recent experience in IT, systems analysis and application program development
  • Bachelor degree from an accredited college/university
  • Experience with automation technologies like Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM (Azure Resource Manager), Ansible, SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, or similar; strong scripting and task automation skills utilizing Python, Perl, Ruby, Java, or Powershell
  • Hands-on experience working with Jenkins, Octopus, GitLab or similar CI/CD platforms and proficiency using Git to store and deploy code and AWS, Azure or GCP
  • In-depth knowledge of the system development life cycle, the client’s area's functions and systems, and cloud development alternatives with the ability to translate cloud solutions architecture designs into code; experience managing and directing systems development or systems maintenance project teams
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and team work while being able to set goals and participate in strategic initiatives for a team; foster the development of high performance teams and interface with all levels of the organization
