Opening in January 2020, it will feature 800 single-occupancy guest rooms, 90 learning and innovation spaces, a 1,000-seat assembly hall, and an Ignition Center where professionals can meet with clients to explore potential disruptors, new business models, and breakthrough solutions. The 55-acre site will also include multiple dining areas, a separate social venue and numerous fitness and recreational amenities to support the firm's focus on health and well-being.

KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Campus Security to join our KPMG Lakehouse organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee development and implementation of a comprehensive security program for the Lakehouse campus, to include physical security, management of electronic surveillance and security systems and management of a contract uniformed security force and provide a safe and secure environment for personnel, facilities and assets at this property
  • Serve as liaison of the campus Crisis Management Program to include creating and maintaining a preparedness strategy to identify, prevent and respond to threats and incidents that impact the safety of personnel and continuity of operations
  • Work with IT security personnel to help ensure appropriate programs are implemented to protect firm and client confidential information
  • Maintain regular oversight and quality assurance for the property’s contract guard force to help ensure provision of effective customer service and performance aligned with the Firm’s culture and the operational needs of the property
  • Execute effective management of security projects through collaboration with key stakeholders and internal customers; Develop and implement appropriate measures to support security-related needs for special events and visitors as required
  • Conduct and oversee internal investigations including matters involving employee misconduct occurring on campus Investigations to include, but not limited to, conducting interviews, collecting evidence and preparing comprehensive investigative reports

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of twelve years of corporate security management or senior law enforcement experience, preferably in a corporate/campus environment
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Established experience with physical security best practices and management of a physical security program (experience in hospitality, education/training, and conference center environments a plus)
  • Knowledge of access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection and communication systems with specialized training in security management, fire safety and crisis management; Certified Protection Professional, Physical Security Professional or other security-related certifications a plus
  • Ability to conduct security related and internal investigations, prepare comprehensive written reports, manage and supervise a security guard force component
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to establish credibility as a business partner with all levels within a matrix organization
